Community of the Month: Bellemeade
This spacious, affordable community in Washtenaw County features mature trees and an open feel, and is conveniently located near Lincoln schools.
New homes in Bellemeade rest on spacious lots with open, grassy common areas. Enjoy a great selection of restaurants serving everything from pizza to sushi, and with several malls and movie theaters within a few miles of Bellemeade, shopping is convenient as well. The benefit of residing in this township is that home prices and property taxes are lower than those found in the larger neighboring cities. It is a short drive to US 23 and I-94, gateways to Detroit and other eastern Michigan cities such as Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor which offer an abundance of options for dining, the arts and touring Broadway shows, along with great sporting events and special activities such as the Ann Arbor Art Fair. Golf courses are plentiful, highlighted by nearby Eagle Crest. Ypsilanti parks feature baseball fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, picnic facilities, fishing piers, bike and walking trails, and even community gardens. On hot summer days, families can head to Rutherford Municipal Pool for a dip or to Ford Lake for boating and fishing. Additional attractions include Rolling Hills County Park, an all-in-one entertainment area with a large water park, nature trails, a fishing pond and picnic area.
Lincoln Consolidated Schools offer traditional curriculum, special education, and a personal alternative option to ensure all students excel. School of choice is also an option. Student athletes can participate on Lincoln teams by joining one of the numerous sports and extra-curricular activities offered, such as swimming, football, or track, key club, national honor society and student council.
